The Making of Bob Dylan’s Music Video for “Like A Rolling Stone”
Over 20 million channels viewed and counting. It has taken our breath away.
Producing Bob Dylan’s first official music video for the 1965 classic “Like A Rolling Stone” is not the kind of project to be taken lightly. That’s why having our interactive technology chosen to power the first official music video for such an iconic, groundbreaking song—and nearly 50 years after its original release—was not only an immense honor, it was also really, really cool.
The press agreed. Check out a few of the great things they’ve had to say about the video:
-
“Bob Dylan’s ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ is, without hyperbole, one of the best rock songs ever recorded. And this music video is, again without hyperbole, one of the most impressive I’ve seen.” (Slate)
-
“The first official video for Bob Dylan’s ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ is an interactive masterpiece.” (Wired)
-
“How does it feel? It feels f*cking insane.” (Pitchfork)
-
“‘Like a Rolling Stone’…demands not to be played so much as played with.” (The New York Times)
-
“The song is timeless and I think the video is trying to prove that in whatever time, or whatever channel or situation [you are in] the song has life and meaning.” (Fox News)
-
“The most amazing music video you will see all year.” (Gawker)
-
“The internet practically burst into applause on Tuesday with the launch of an interactive video for Bob Dylan’s ‘Like a Rolling Stone.’” (Quartz)
